What you will need for rigging equipment depends of yours cordage changes which can be partial or full.
Partial changes consider changes of cables or cordages that were caused by damages, like distortions, cracks or full cracks of cordages, connections on the cables or full cracks of the cables, distortions of the cables or terminals as well as the cracks of the terminals. Those kind of damages can happen due to the fatigue of the materials and due to the inadequate usage of the vessel and irregular anchored (trimmed) mast. In the event of the partial change of the rod rigging, the only thing that is changed is the damaged cable, i.e. cordages.
Complete change of the cordages includes changes of all cables or rod rigging of the mast. Complete change of cordages should be done to ensure the safety of the crew, equipment and the vessel and it should be done by following recommendations of the manufacturers, i.e. every 10-12 years, because due to the usage of the vessel, as well as the atmospheric conditions, appearance of the microfractures inside of the bond between the inox terminals and cables, i.e. in case of rod rigging to microfractures on the head of the rod rigging, where mentioned surface is losing its integrity and it can lead to the breaking of the cable or rod rigging.
When we are talking about rigging equipment for regatta vessels, vessels have a shorter interval of the complete change of the cordages, because cordages on those vessels are under a larger amount of pressure comparing to the family or charter vessels. In order to prevent possible damages of the cordages it is necessary to control cordages on regular basis. It is necessary to pay attention to determine if there are any cracks on the inox terminals, turnbuckles or rod rigging which can usually be found on the area where the larger amount of the corrosion is visible, which happens due to the accumulation of the water under the crack.
It is necessary to pay attention to the distortion of the spots on the cables which points to the mechanical damages. Corrosion on the cable, especially on the bond with the terminal can hide microfractures that will lead to the breaking of the cable connections. If you notice some or only one of the mentioned problems, it is necessary to immediately fix your damaged rigging equipment in order to provide crew safety and in order to avoid larger damages of the equipment.
Basic service done on the spot is mounting or servicing your damaged rigging equipment, that is mast and the deck equipment. This service is comprising all activities connected to the lowering or mounting masts, changes of the cordages, services on the existing one or mounting of the new mast or deck equipment, probably representing the most important services on the vessels.
Safety of the workers, rigging equipment and complete work space is an imperative set before every service action.
Following our long-lasting experience, individual approach to every client and thanks to our mobile field sailboat workshop, we are able to completely or partially change cordages and cables or rod rigging on the spot on any kind of vessel, regardless of its purpose and size. As well, our mobile service sailboat workshop allows us access to the vessel independently of its location and it allows us a quality, quick and a professional service of the cordages.
We are performing work quickly, efficiently and professionally, by using specialized tools and by collaborating with the leading manufacturers of the rigging equipment, thus ensuring availability of the product of top quality, whether those being cables, rod rigging, turnbuckles or different inox terminals.
